| IT PUTS THE LOTION IN THE BASKET |

| [ | mood |
| | weird/frustrated | ] | Arif and I finally got firm and made our extended (1-month-plus) guests leave, then didn't let them back in when they asked to come by the next day (like they always do after promising to get out of our hair). They threaten suicide.
Why do we deserve this? See if I ever try to help anyone ever again.
Finally started doing some homework. Maybe I can pass some of my classes this semester.
I went to a rave in drag and a skeezy guy with gross hair pinched my butt (I shook my head at him and walked away). Some other guys made cat calls. A queer girl said I was beautiful. Yet another guy said I reminded him of Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs. Recently evicted guest said I should have told him "Your mother looks like Hannibal Lecter." Wish I did.
I do NOT look like Buffalo Bill.
Right? |

| | ecstatic | ] | You read right. On August 15 Arif and I will move into our brand-new apartment. Check this fucker out: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/apa/185361892.html
It's within walking distance of China Town and the Metreon. There is a BART station practically in my front yard. The rules say nothing about smoking. Cats aren't allowed but Pokkle is coming anyway. This is 20 times better than I thought would be possible. |

| i climbed a tree today |
[Jul. 17th, 2006|01:53 am] |
And I got up to a branch I could sit on about 100 feet up before I finally gave in to my crippling fear of heights and descended. (My brother went to about 50 feet. Score one for me.) Damn, that was fucking scary. I kind of regret not going higher, though. I took a few pictures up there, but then right after I got down I realized that I had taken them in VGA mode. Worst cockup in weeks.
I got Generation of Chaos for the PSP, a game which had a rather weak critical reception but which also appeared to resemble Dragon Force far too much for me to ignore it. It's fun and tricky and thinky, not to mention obviously enormous, but it also has atrociously designed menus. These may very well be the very worst menus I've ever encountered in an SRPG. It gives the game an artificially steep learning curve and almost deters me from playing it. I'm sure I'll get through it, though. I also got Mega Man Zero 3. It's obscenely difficult. I still haven't killed a single damn robot master.
Every day of this Oregan vacation I've felt pretty shitty. Not sick, per se, but just tired and crummy and vaguely depressed for whatever reason is closest to my conscious brain. I've been getting extremely poor amounts of sleep lately. Whenever I go on trips like this, no matter how great they are, I always have this nagging desire to just say fuck it and go home. When I was little I was always the family member who sat away from the rest, playing his Game Boy, and throwing daily tantrums about how much I wanted to go home and hated wherever we were (it didn't really matter; no matter where we were, if my Genesis/Saturn/Playstation/Nintendo64/PC/etc. was not present, I was angry). I really regret behaving that way and it only frustrates me more when I find myself gravitating towards it now too. And this laptop with unstable wireless connection is getting on my last nerve. So I think I'm gonna go... sleep.

He was super hot. And his hair was so perfect, it NEVER got in the way. And also he tried to speak English and it was cute. Didn't see Zav but that's probably for the best. Then we all went to the BART station to go home, but BART was closed. Then we took a bus. Also I got to smoke a Japanese cigarette. It had a teriyaki-like aftertaste. o_O
I borrowed DMC3 from Yun and it is responsible for the new cracks on my PS2 controller. Where the FUCK are all the yellow orbs?! |

It seems the latest "hip" thing to do is berate the Academy Awards because they neglected big studio films in their nominations.
I would like to point out that 99% of big studio films in 2005 wanged so much chung that thinking about them actually makes me want to cry. I will now list all of the good films I'm aware of that came from big studios in 2005.
Batman Begins Narnia (maybe)
Whoops, I can't think of anything else. Seriously, look at that list. The only two good movies I can remember are Batman and Narnia. When Batman is among the highlights of a year in film, there are problems that need to be dealt with.
I kind of hope the Oscars this year send a message: we're actually getting tired of recycled storylines, cliched characters, special effects that they make our eyes bleed, irritating celebrity drama, cookie-cutter sequels, and shitty remakes. |

Earlier today, I was reflecting on just how addictive Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri is. Then, I realized: the game's initials are SMAC. Like... whoa, I need to lay off the SMACk.
I'm funny. |
